Cate Joaquin, a Georgetown-bound senior from St. Francis High in Sacramento, placed second in the girls invitational 1,600 meters in a personal-best 4:48.58 to establish a new program record at the 39th Sacramento Meet of Champions at American River College in Sacramento.
