Mateo Malko-Allen, a junior at St. Mary's High in Berkeley, placed second in the boys invitational 3,200 meters in 9:10.13 at the 39th Sacramento Meet of Champions at American River College in Sacramento. Malko-Allen led entering the final lap, but was edged by Sonora senior Adin Dibble at the line in 9:10.09.
